Bhangara Dance

     Bhangara Dane is a lively form of folk music dance that originates from punjab. Punjabis performed Bhangara to celebrate the success of the harvest people perform Bhangala on the day of Baisakhi, April13. Bhangala is considered the king of dance. During Bhangara people sing Panjabi Boliyaan, Lyries, atleast one person plays the dhol drum. The dances begin to move in a circle around the drummer, who now & lifts the two sticks,

     With which he beats the drum to beckon the dancess to a higher tempo of movement. The costame of a Bhangara dancer consist of a bright, Colored patka on the head a lache or lungi of the same color, A long tunic & a black or blue waistcoat & ghunghoors on the ankles. Some dancess also were small rings in the ears.
